Experience high-quality, thoughtfully sourced coffee in NYC

I’m Shirley, a mother, a New Yorker, and the founder of Max&Zoe Coffee.
This business is named after my children, Max and Zoe—both born in New York City and the reason I wanted to build something meaningful.
As a mother, I dreamed of creating something they could grow up learning from and one day proudly call part of their story.
I was also born and raised near the coffee plantations of Guatemala, where coffee isn’t a trend—it’s a way of life. From a young age, I learned that great coffee takes patience, care, and respect for the land and the people who cultivate it.
Max&Zoe Coffee lives at the intersection of these two worlds:
the fast pace of New York City and the deep, intentional craft of Guatemalan coffee heritage.

Guatemalan specialty coffee is known for its clean body, balanced acidity, and layered flavor profiles. Depending on the region and process, it often reveals notes of chocolate, caramel, citrus, and subtle florals—shaped by altitude, volcanic soil, and generations of farming knowledge.
Our September 2026 lot has just been freshly roasted and features four exceptional Guatemalan specialty coffees:
☕ Pacamara
☕ Marago
☕ Catucai
☕ Pache Rojo
🎃 Halloween Special: All 4 Bags for $100
Get the complete September collection—one bag of each variety—for $100.
Max & Zoe Coffee is carefully roasted in Guatemala, close to the farms where our coffee is grown, preserving the character and story of every bean. From the Guatemalan mountains to your cup in NYC, every sip carries the taste of its origin.
More Than Coffee. Specialty Coffee.
Our coffees are selected for their exceptional quality, distinctive flavor profiles, and unique varieties. Every cup is an invitation to experience coffee beyond the ordinary.

Our Washed Process coffees highlight clarity, balance, and the true character of the bean. Carefully processed to remove the fruit before drying, these coffees deliver a clean cup with bright acidity, refined sweetness, and crisp flavor notes that showcase the unique terroir of each origin.
